Hayes Named Southern Division Player of the Week

Anoka-Ramsey Community College guard Kashif Hayes was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for his efforts in two Golden Ram wins this past weekend.

Hayes scored 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting including 3-of-6 from the three-point line in a defeat of Vermilion Community College.  Hayes also connected on 5-of-7 free throws.

In a win over Mesabi Range College, Hayes tallied a game-high 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting and 5-of-8 from behind the arc.  Hayes once again was 5-of-7 on free throws.

Combined for the two games Hayes averaged 20 points on 11-of-18 shooting and 8-of-14 from the three-point line.

Hayes is a freshman from St. Louis Park.

Anoka-Ramsey is 5-4 on the season and will face Bismarck State College on Friday, December 19 at 8:00pm.
